Certain disruptive events such as leaky pipes, loss of electrical power, or disruption of a supply chain are classified as non-life threatening emergencies. While these incidents may interrupt operations, they call for a different type of response than would a fire or bomb threat.

If outside assistance is require (e.g., plumbers or electricians), the ERT will initiate contact with these individuals. If prior authorization from finance is required, the ERT will make the necessary purchasing arrangements.

If a partial or total evacuation of the facility is appropriate while the organization responds to the incident, the ERT will coordinate with management and decide on how to proceed.
